Senior Parade of the Bands Celebrates Traditional Characters
March 5, 2025 – Carnival is not only a time for vibrant expression but also an opportunity to honour our rich cultural heritage, rooted in the resilience of our enslaved ancestors. Despite a noticeably smaller crowd compared to previous years, the Senior Parade of the Bands pressed on, showcasing the unwavering spirit of the festival. The parade featured a dazzling array of traditional characters and costumes, highlighting themes that celebrate Tobago’s history and culture. This included iconic portrayals like the Midnight Robber and other figures that pay homage to the island’s unique identity.
