March 17, 2025 – In his first official act as Prime Minister, Stuart Young appointed Camille Robinson-Regis as Attorney General and Minister of Legal Affairs. She was sworn in just minutes after Young took his oath, replacing Senior Counsel Reginald Armour, who resigned after being appointed as a Justice of Appeal for the Eastern Caribbean Court of Appeal.
Robinson-Regis, a Senior Counsel, was admitted to the bar in 1985. She studied law at the University of the West Indies and earned her Legal Education Certificate from the Norman Manley Law School in Jamaica. Entering politics in 1992, she has held several ministerial positions under various PNM administrations.
