While no deaths have been recorded in Tobago, Trinidad has reported 19 deaths associated with the virus. The total number of dengue cases in Trinidad and Tobago now stands at 1,579. Health officials are urging the public to take preventive measures to stop the spread of dengue. One critical step is to clear out any uncovered containers that may collect water, as these provide ideal breeding grounds for mosquitoes that carry the virus.
