Scarborough, Tobago – August 28, 2024 – Tobagonian Akeem Stewart, a two-time Paralympic medalist, will represent Trinidad and Tobago in the Paralympic Games in Paris, France, which began today. The Division of Community Development, Youth Development and Sport extended best wishes to Stewart, who won a gold medal at the Rio de Janeiro’s Paralympic Games in 2016 in javelin and a silver in discus. He is scheduled to take part in the Men’s Discus Throw on Sunday, September 1st, 2024, at Stade de France.
