August 12, 2024 – Gary Peters was officially sworn in as Acting Auditor General today by Acting President Nigel de Freitas at the Office of the President. Peters, who has served in the public sector for 33 years, including a role as Assistant Auditor General since 2013, takes over from Jaiwantie Ramdass.
This appointment comes at a critical time for the office, highlighting the government’s efforts to ensure continuity and stability in its financial oversight.
