Trinidad and Tobago – June 26, 2024 – Former Public Services Association (PSA) president Watson Duke is suing the union over his pension. Duke, leader of the Progressive Democratic Patriots, filed the lawsuit in early June, seeking declarations that his rights and contract of employment were breached by the PSA’s refusal to pay his pension.

Duke’s lawsuit contends that the non-payment has led to financial hardship. His legal action highlights a significant dispute between the former union head and the PSA regarding pension benefits and contractual obligations within the public service union in Trinidad and Tobago.
