Tobagonians voice objections to hotel development project at Rockey Point.
Mt. Irvine, Tobago – A significant number of Tobagonians wishing to express their concerns and objections to a new hotel development project at Rocky Point in Mt. Irvine were unable to do so due to a lack of space. The public consultation, a key part of the project’s Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA), was hosted by Superior Hotels Trinidad and Tobago Limited, the company hoping to establish a Marriott Hotel along with private residences and villas.
This situation highlights the strong public interest and community concern surrounding the proposed development and its potential impact on the local environment and social fabric.
