It’s been two weeks since the Gulfstream Oil Spill impacted Tobago, prompting various efforts to restore the coastline. While Trinidad has provided significant aid, more action is needed. To address this, the Tobago Emergency Management Agency and Community Emergency Response Team are coordinating an oil spill clean-up initiative, seeking 40 volunteers. Participants will receive personal protective equipment, a weekly stipend, and training. Ideal candidates should be in good health without respiratory issues. The cleanup will run from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily for two weeks. For those interested, further details can be found on the CERT or TEMA Facebook Page.
