The Hindu community in Tobago is counting down to a historic cultural milestone as the island’s first Hindu temple approaches its final stages of construction in Signal Hill, with completion officially slated for August 2026.
Led by the Tobago Hindu Society (THS), the project represents the culmination of more than three decades of advocacy, community fundraising, and grassroots perseverance. Despite recent setbacks—including logistical delays and the theft of construction materials from the site—the society confirms that the finish line is finally within reach. With Indian Arrival Day approaching in May, the near-completion of the mandir marks a defining chapter for religious diversity, cultural preservation, and inter-faith harmony across the sister isle.
