September 2, 2025- Despite the ongoing state of emergency, Tobago’s tourism sector remains vibrant and resilient, according to Secretary for Tourism, Culture, Antiquities and Transportation, Tashia Burris.
Speaking on a morning show earlier today, Burris pointed to a string of successful events over the past two months—including CARIFESTA, Tobago Day, and the Dods Diving Competition—as proof that the island continues to thrive as a cultural and tourism destination.
She emphasized that these events not only boosted local morale but also reinforced Tobago’s appeal to both domestic and international visitors.
