According to Superintendent Rodhill Kirk, the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service has been working nonstop over the last week to solve the murder of 17-year-old Precious Wills. Wills died after she was shot in the chest on August 27 at the Up Top Bar and Lounge in Crown Point while liming with her friend. She was later declared dead on arrival at the Scarborough General Hospital. The alleged perpetrator is now being brought to justice.
Kirk notes that it is illegal for any establishment with a license to sell alcohol to have persons under the age of eighteen present on its premises. This issue he noted has been overlooked by the public in their discussions about the murder. The superintendent expects that safety measures will be implemented to ensure that patrons and visitors feel secure whilst socialising in Crown Point. The funeral service for the late Precious Wills is scheduled for Friday 8th of September 2023.
