May 12, 2025 – Commissioner of Police Erla Harewood-Christopher is back as the head of the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service, following a court ruling that upheld her recent suspension as lawful. However, in light of the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) clearing her of misconduct allegations, the Police Service Commission (PSC) has lifted the suspension. A confirmation letter is expected to be issued soon, allowing her to resume her duties.
