Port of Spain, Trinidad & Tobago – Senior Counsel John Jeremie, former Attorney General under the Patrick Manning administration, says he will vote for the UNC in the April 28th general election. Jeremie’s move shocked supporters last night when he appeared on a UNC platform at a meeting in Penal.
During his speech, he publicly condemned what he described as race-based rhetoric coming from the PNM platform. His appearance and endorsement of the opposition party mark a significant and unexpected development in the lead-up to the elections.
