March 17, 2025 – The Honourable Stuart Young was officially sworn in today as the 8th Prime Minister of Trinidad and Tobago, following the resignation of Dr. Keith Christopher Rowley. In accordance with parliamentary protocol, all Members of Parliament were sworn in, with a few key ministerial adjustments.
Among the changes, Adrian Leonce has been appointed Minister in the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development, replacing Camille Robinson-Regis who is now the Attorney General and Minister of Legal Affairs. Marvin Gonzales is now the Minister of National Security, while Keith Scotland has retained his position as minister in the Ministry of National Security. Fitzgerald Hinds has been appointed Minister in the Office of the Prime Minister, and former Minister of Finance Colm Imbert is now Minister in the Ministry of Public Utilities. Vishnu Dhanpaul leads the Ministry of Finance. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Stuart Young will continue to serve as Minister in the Ministry of Energy and Energy Industries. These appointments mark a new chapter in Trinidad and Tobago’s governance as the country moves forward under Prime Minister Young’s leadership.
