National Security Minister Fitzgerald Hinds says some recent murders in Tobago Are gang-related.
Port of Spain, Trinidad & Tobago – Minister of National Security Fitzgerald Hinds announced in Parliament yesterday that at least four of the eight murders recorded in Tobago so far this year are gang-related.
The Minister, in response to a question from the Opposition regarding the increased murders on the island, explained that some of the homicides are the result of conflicts between gangs based in Trinidad that are spilling over into Tobago. This revelation underscores the complex dynamics influencing the rising crime rate on the island and highlights a direct link between criminal activity in both islands.
