Scarborough, Tobago – In a response to a question posed by the Minority at today’s Plenary Sitting, Secretary of the Division of Education, Research and Technology, Zorisha Hackett, revealed that $20 million was spent on school repairs in preparation for the 2024-2025 school term.
Despite concerns over the timely completion of these repairs, Hackett disclosed that 37 contractual packages were given out, engaging 30 Tobago companies in the school repair program. This initiative not only aimed to improve the physical infrastructure of schools but also to empower local businesses.
