2 Ambulances Issued Warnings for Inspection

Two ambulances were stopped by licensing officers earlier today. Licensing officers set up a roadblock in the Lowlands area, checking all vehicles for violations, and among the vehicles stopped were two ambulances.
A social media post stated that one ambulance was transporting a critically ill patient at the time. However, we were not able to verify whether the ambulance was carrying a patient or not but we were able to confirm that two ambulances were stopped because their inspections were out-of-date. Both ambulances were let off with a warning.

In Tobago, ambulances operate under the Tobago Regional Health Authority, which is responsible for their maintenance and upkeep. When contacted, Christlyn Moore, Chairman of the TRHA board, stated she was unaware of the situation and would look into the matter.
