A 14-year-old from Bon Accord is set to be charged for the murder of Djan Melville, also known as “Cyber,” following a decision made on Friday, by the Director of Public Prosecutions. Melville, who was set on fire on January 8, 2025, succumbed to his injuries and passed away on January 17th, 2025. According to official reports, the accused, who is the second individual to be charged in connection with the homicide, is facing a charge of murder. In a separate matter, the same 14-year-old appeared before Master Rodriguez on February 14, 2025, on account of two offences. In the first case, he pled guilty to charges of store breaking and larceny, whilst in a second incident he pled not guilty to housebreaking and larceny. The case was postponed for sentencing on the first charge, while the second charge remains unresolved. The juvenile was denied bail during the proceedings. Authorities have not disclosed further details of the investigations into the homicide of Djan Melville.
