August 19,2025 – The THA Sports Camp 2025 officially wrapped up last Friday, marking the end of an 11-day programme dedicated to nurturing the talents of young athletes across Tobago.
Held from August 5th to 15th, the camp brought together children aged 7 to 14 at recreation grounds and courts across the island—including Shaw Park, Roxborough, and Speyside. Participants received training in a variety of sports such as Football, Netball, Cricket, Track and Field, Table Tennis, Golf, Archery, and Beach Volleyball.
The initiative, led by the Division of Community Development, Youth Development and Sport, was praised for its role in promoting discipline, teamwork, and personal growth through sport. On the final day, campers were awarded Certificates of Participation, with Secretary Wane Clarke and Technical Director of Sport Sean Aberdeen commending their enthusiasm and talent.
Secretary Clarke reaffirmed the Division’s commitment to supporting youth development through sport, promising more opportunities ahead for Tobago’s budding athletes.
