March 21, 2025 – The United National Congress (UNC) is claiming that the PNM is attempting to commandeer pre-booked and pre-paid advertising and broadcast spots with media houses ahead of April 28th general elections. The party says it was contacted by various media outlets on behalf of the PNM, requesting almost 50% of the UNC’s prime election spots be given to the ruling party. The UNC stated it had booked and paid for these slots as early as November 2024, but now the PNM, which failed to secure its own slots, is demanding media houses prioritize their ads. The UNC calls this move unfair and unethical, urging media houses to honor their pre-booked and paid arrangements.
