A total of $9.3 million has been budgeted for the Tobago Rhythm and Soul Festival, with Buju Banton as the headliner. Secretary of Tourism, Culture, Antiquities, and Transportation Tashia Burris made this statement while responding to a question from Minority Councilor Petal Daniel-Benoit. However, Burris clarified that not all of the $9.3 million will come from the THA’s treasury. Burris explained that the Tobago Rhythm and Soul Festival is being organised through a partnership with a private promoter, and the THA is not responsible for hosting the event. As a result, she stated that the THA does not anticipate earning any profits from the festival. The Tobago Rhythm and Soul Festival is scheduled to take place from April 17th to 20th, 2025.
