September 25, 2025- As Trinidad and Tobago marked its 49th Republic Day yesterday, Hochoy Charles was posthumously awarded the nation’s highest accolade, the Order of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago (ORTT).
The honour recognises Charles’ extraordinary service and unwavering dedication to the people of Tobago. It celebrates a lifetime defined by tireless advocacy, courageous leadership, and a commitment to social and political progress.
