August 28, 2025 – As part of efforts to strengthen Tobago’s food security, the Division of Food Security, Natural Resources, the Environment, and Sustainable Development is inviting all livestock farmers to take part in the upcoming World Food Day Livestock Competition 2025.
The event aims to increase awareness around breed diversity and highlight the best of Tobago’s livestock production. It plays a central role in the island’s broader strategy to boost self-sufficiency and resilience within the agricultural sector.
This year’s competition carries the theme “Hand in Hand for a Better Food and a Better Future,” underscoring the importance of collaboration among farmers, stakeholders, and communities in building a stronger, more sustainable food system for Tobago.
Farmers across the island are encouraged to participate, as the event not only promotes excellence in livestock farming but also supports the island’s long-term food security goals.
