Tobago Eyes Direct Flights from U.S. as Tourism Minister Meets American Airlines
August 14, 2025 – Tobago may soon see increased travel from the United States, following high-level discussions between Minister of Tourism, Satyakama Maharaj, and American Airlines executives in Charlotte.
The talks focused on introducing direct flight routes to the island, a move aimed at tapping further into the U.S. market — one of the nation’s largest sources of visitors. With international arrivals already trending upward in 2025, a direct link to Tobago is expected to boost tourism, create jobs, and improve accessibility.
In a statement shared on social media, the Ministry of Tourism emphasized its ongoing efforts to secure new airline partnerships and expand Trinidad and Tobago’s global travel network.
