Six Tobagonians receive national awards at the 55th Republic Day national awards ceremony.
Port of Spain, Trinidad & Tobago – The 55th National Awards Ceremony was held at the President’s House yesterday on the nation’s 48th Republic Day. At the ceremony, six distinguished Tobagonians were among those who received awards for their outstanding contributions to the arts, culture, community development, sport, public and community service, and education.
The recipients were Arlene Alleyne-Daniel, founder of the Rhythmic Vibrations Performing Company; Pan Trinbago President Beverly Ramsey-Moore; artist James Armstrong; Cricketer Navin Stewart; former politician Stanford Callender; Principal of Bishop’s High School Cindy Ramnarine; and prolific musician Duvone Stewart. Their accolades celebrate the diverse and significant impact Tobagonians have made on the nation’s development.
