Scarborough, Tobago – August 14, 2024 – The increase in criminal activity in Tobago has raised significant concerns about the safety and security of tourism-oriented businesses. In response, Chief Secretary Farley Chavez Augustine outlined the Tobago House of Assembly’s (THA) strategic plans to implement security measures within the transportation and accommodation sectors.
This proactive approach from the THA aims to reassure both residents and visitors and protect Tobago’s vital tourism industry from the impacts of crime. The new measures are a direct response to the escalating security issues, highlighting the government’s commitment to ensuring a safe environment for all on the island.
