Regional Beach Volleyball Camp Unites 54 Youth Athletes and Coaches in Tobago

September 4, 2025- The Courland Beach Sport Arena recently hosted the second edition of the Beach Volleyball Development Camp—a four-day regional initiative designed to nurture young talent and strengthen the sport’s presence across the Caribbean.

Organised through a joint effort by the Trinidad and Tobago Olympic Committee (TTOC), the Caribbean Zonal Volleyball Association (CAZOVA), and the Trinidad and Tobago Volleyball Federation (TTVF), the camp brought together 54 youth athletes and coaches from eight territories: Aruba, Barbados, the Cayman Islands, Haiti, Martinique, St. Kitts and Nevis, the US Virgin Islands, and Trinidad and Tobago.

Participants engaged in high-level technical training, skill-building workshops, and competitive match play. Beyond the physical aspects of the sport, the camp also offered mentorship opportunities and promoted cultural exchange, fostering unity and collaboration among the region’s rising volleyball stars.

Organisers praised the initiative as a key step toward expanding the Caribbean’s volleyball talent pool and preparing athletes for international competition. With its successful execution, the Courland Beach Sport Arena continues to solidify its status as a premier venue for regional sports development and youth empowerment.
