Professor Selwyn Cudjoe Appointed Chairman of New UTT Board

August 19 , 2025 – Professor Selwyn Cudjoe has been named Chairman of the newly appointed 13-member board tasked with leading the University of Trinidad and Tobago (UTT) over the next three years. The appointments were officially made last Friday during a ceremony at the Education Towers in Port of Spain.

Tertiary Education Minister, Professor Prakash Persad, welcomed the new board and reaffirmed UTT’s importance as a driver of national economic development. With campuses serving thousands of students across the country, the Ministry underscored its commitment to advancing transformative initiatives that strengthen the tertiary education sector.

The government says it looks forward to working closely with the board to ensure UTT continues to meet the evolving needs of students and the nation, reinforcing the institution’s role in securing a sustainable and educated future for Trinidad and Tobago.
