Paving Upgrades Close The Market Car Park…
An essential infrastructure and surface enhancement project is underway at the Scarborough Market, as the Division of Infrastructure, Quarries and Urban Development (DIQUD) / Transportation temporarily closes the Market Square Car Park.
The three-day closure, effective from Thursday, May 7 through Saturday, May 9, 2026, allows road paving crews to resurface the heavily trafficked parking facility. The works are designed to prepare the grounds for new directional line markings, optimized parking bay configurations, and improved traffic circulation for market vendors, delivery vehicles, and weekend shoppers.
