The gender and child affairs divisions host the braille handover ceremony
Gender-based violence and Sexual Violence have been a growing issue in the country, with over 44% of ever-partnered women experiencing intimate partner violence. However, there is a lack of awareness among the general population, but more specifically, the visually impaired. Today, the Gender and Child Affairs Division under the Office of the Prime Minister hosted the National Strategic Action Plan Braille Handover at the Central Administrative Services Tobago, which was centred on spreading awareness among visually impaired citizens.
