Maternal death could have been avoided

Former director of T.R.H.A. board Max James said the maternal death of Nadea Shangie could have been avoided if Roxborough hospital was staffed with midwives.

The death of a pregnant woman and her baby a week ago could have been avoided if the Roxborough Hospital had been staffed with midwives. This is according to a former director of the Tobago Regional Health Authority Board, Max James. He claimed that the medical field is too advanced for women to die during pregnancy.
