Soca artiste Machel Montano supports Tobago having its own carnival
October 29, 2024 – Soca artiste Machel Montano has publicly voiced his support for the Tobago October Carnival. Just hours before graduating from the University of Trinidad and Tobago (UTT) with a Master of Arts in Carnival Studies, Montano appeared as the headline act at the Comfort Inn’s Soca All-Inclusive Fete. During his performance, he took the opportunity to share his thoughts on Tobago’s efforts to build its own distinct carnival brand.
