However, there are growing concerns about Jamaican Dancehall music’s increasing influence on Trinidad and Tobago’s carnival celebration, with some fearing it may undermine the event’s uniqueness. It was recently announced that Vybz Kartel, who was recently released from prison, would perform in Trinidad on Fantastic Friday.
