Joshua James, the sole representative from Tobago in the 2023 Caribbean Premier League, will be sidelined for the rest of the tournament due to a recurring back injury. James, a West Indies Emerging Player, had been signed by defending champions Jamaica Tallawahs for his third consecutive season. Brian Browne, James’ personal coach, expressed disappointment but stated the primary objective is now to ensure Joshua’s complete recovery.
Browne mentioned that he has received calls from the West Indies Cricket Board, Trinidad and Tobago Cricket Board, and the Tobago Cricket Association regarding the next steps for Joshua.
