INTER-DEPARTMENT CARNIVAL COMPETITION 2024
The event saw hundreds of patrons gathered at the Parade Grounds, Dwight Yorke Stadium with welcome remarks from the Assistant Secretary for the Division of Tourism, Culture, Antiquities and Transportation, Ms Megan Morrison.
Last night’s Inter Department show was officially one of the best that the island has seen. From the impressive talents, to the gorgeous costumes, and the hilarious calypsoes, the event was one that was entertaining from start to finish.
Taking the top prize in the Personality competition was Dwayne White Jr representing the Division of Tourism, Culture, Antiquities and Transportation. His talent presentation entitled “Hairy Proposal”, written by Rayshawn Pierre was more than enough to earn him the crown in addition to his costume presentation “Abaddon- Prince of Demons”.
In the Calypso Competition, Gary Baptiste (Calypsonian), representing the Division of Community Development Youth Development and Sport came out victorious with his song “Fish Wish”.

Guest artistes also graced in between the Talent Segment, Calypso Competition, Costume Presentation and Flag Waving Competition before the legendary flag waving activity by each Division took place just before the announcement of the official results.
