September 17, 2025- Roxborough came alive on Wednesday for the 49th Republic Day celebrations, traditionally held in Tobago East. Hundreds of Tobagonians turned out to celebrate the nation’s 49th year as a republic in the island’s former capital.
In his address, Chief Secretary Farley Augustine reiterated his call for greater autonomy for Tobago, urging the central government to take decisive steps toward granting the island the authority it deserves.
