Free Doubles As Tobago Set To Celebrate Indian Arrival Day
Hundreds of eager residents gathered along the Claude Noel Highway corridor opposite the Gulf City Mall in Lowlands early Friday morning, as popular vendor Ravies Doubles hosted a massive street food giveaway to usher in national Indian Arrival Day celebrations.
The culinary treat brought commuters, families, and workers together from the early dawn hours, turning the morning commute into a festive community celebration. By serving free doubles—Trinidad and Tobago’s signature street food delicacy—the initiative celebrated the rich East Indian heritage, culinary traditions, and cultural legacy that have helped shape the twin-island republic.
