The Chief Secretary comments on Warner groups matter of illegal quarrying.
Scarborough, Tobago – Allan Warner, owner of the Warner Group of Companies, was charged with processing minerals without a license. Chief Secretary Farley Augustine was asked to comment on the matter during Sunday night’s TPP election results announcement.
Augustine conveyed his well wishes to Warner regarding the situation. He also reflected on past conflicts between himself and the Warner Group, noting that he had previously felt pressure to provide favors. Augustine highlighted the interesting coincidence of a similar allegation surfacing from an unrelated matter, drawing a parallel to his past experiences.
