EMA has an important role

Tobago Business Chamber Chairman Martin George Advises the government to find a balance between environment sensitivity and development for Marriott Hotel .

Chairman of the Tobago Business Chamber Martin George is advising Prime Minister Dr. Keith Rowley against criticising the Environmental Management Authority (EMA) regarding the length of time needed to approve developments like the Marriott Hotel investment at Rocky Point. Dr Rowley expressed frustration yesterday that the EMA is holding up the process for the Rocky Point development. The Environmental Impact Assessment is currently ongoing and will be completed in 2025.
