Electricity problems at TADCO facilities

High voltage issues and ageing equipment caused service disruptions at cold storage and abattoir facilities.

Scarborough, Tobago – High voltage issues and aging equipment have disrupted services at the Tobago Agribusiness Development Company’s (TADCO) abattoir and cold storage facilities.

According to TADCO Chairman Ricardo Alfred, the cold storage facility’s equipment, which has been in use for over 40 years, has struggled to handle electricity fluctuations and high voltage conditions. These ongoing problems have impacted the company’s ability to provide consistent service and highlight the urgent need for infrastructure upgrades.
