Crime, a leadership problem

Scarborough, Tobago – Tobago’s murder toll for 2024 has currently reached ten. The political leader of the Progressive Democratic Patriots (PDP), Watson Duke, addressed the increase in murders on the island, drawing a comparison between past years and the present.

Speaking at a PDP press conference today, Duke stated that leadership, or the lack thereof, has a major part to play in the rising crime rate. His comments reflect a growing concern among political figures and the public about the escalating crime situation on the island and its impact on community safety.
