Scarborough, Tobago – October 18, 2024 – A condolence book in honour of former Assemblyman Cynthia Alfred has been made available at the Assembly Legislature for the public to sign. According to a post on the Assembly Legislature’s Facebook page, the book will be available for signing until Friday, October 25th. The public can visit the Assembly Legislature building daily between 8:00 AM and 3:30 PM. Chief Secretary Farley Augustine was the first to sign the book this morning. Alfred, who passed away on Tuesday, served as an Assemblyman from 2001 to 2009 and was the first female Deputy Chief Secretary. She also served as a senator from 1997 to 2000, leaving a significant legacy in Tobago’s political history.
