International and local companies experience success with clean-up efforts
Cove, Tobago – February 20, 2024 – The large-scale operation to clean up the oil spill from the 15 km shoreline, following the capsizing of the Gulfstream vessel at Cove, has been a difficult task. However, there’s a growing sense of success on the ground. A significant amount of the fuel-like substance has already been cleared from some affected areas, while others are proving to be a little more challenging for cleanup crews.
Members of the media were recently treated to a special tour of the various sites where work is ongoing. Reporter Kandace Jackson and cameraman Aaron Primus were part of the tour and have the details on the collaborative efforts and persistent challenges in mitigating the impact of the Tobago oil spill.
