Cargo Vessel, M.v. Cabo Star Goes On Dry-docking From July 12th

The Trinidad and Tobago Inter-Island Transportation Company (TTIT) has announced that the MV Carbo Star will be taken out of service for scheduled dry docking beginning Saturday, July 12th, 2025.10 The maintenance period, part of the vessel’s statutory requirements, is expected to last approximately three weeks, during which TTIT will implement a series of contingency measures to maintain critical cargo transport between Trinidad and Tobago. To accommodate demand ahead of the vessel’s absence, TTIT has scheduled two additional sailings for the Carbo Star: Friday, June 21st:Departing Port of Spain at 1:00 pm and Scarborough at 10:00pm Friday, July 5th:Same departure times. Additionally, the Trinidad and Tobago Inter-Island Transportation Company will soon introduce a WhatsApp contact line to provide real-time updates to cargo users throughout the dry-docking period. The company is urging all cargo clients to plan ahead and take advantage of the extra sailings in June and July, and to stay informed through official communication channels as the temporary arrangements take effect.
