Businesswoman Robbed At Gunpoint; Bandits Escape With Cash And Valuables
September 22, 2025- A 54-year-old doubles vendor from Plymouth Road, Tobago, was the victim of a violent robbery early Monday morning. Reports indicate that around 2 a.m., four masked men—two armed with guns and one carrying a cutlass—stormed the kitchen while the businesswoman and two employees were preparing doubles.
The assailants demanded money, tied up the businesswoman and one employee, and ransacked two bedrooms. They escaped with approximately TT$21,600, US$100, a Samsung A30 cellphone, and a DVR unit.
The victims were able to free themselves and alert police, who are continuing their investigation into the incident.
