In the spirit of the yuletide season, Area Representative for the electoral district of Mt St. George/Goodwood, Assemblyman Megan Morrison, organized a bread distribution drive at her district office in Hope. Morrison shared that there were 200 loaves of bread available. She explained that this initiative has been done before, especially in response to the challenges posed by the pandemic.
“People were struggling to make ends meet, in some cases we are not sure where the next meal were coming from so bread as the bible have it is food, is life.” Morrison highlighted that it’s the Christmas season, and people tend to cook less as the holiday approaches, especially when most are focused on cleaning their houses for the season. She further explained that she invited members of her communities to come, and she added that even people from outside the community benefited from the bread drive.
