Angelica Autopsy Complete, Family Wait To Take Her Home…
A post-mortem examination performed at the Scarborough General Hospital mortuary has officially confirmed that seven-year-old Angelica Jogie died from multiple severe traumatic injuries, particularly to the head, following the tragic jet ski collision at Pigeon Point Heritage Park.
The autopsy was conducted on Monday by pathologist Dr. Hubert Daisley, concluding the forensic examination five days after the Easter vacation tragedy. Angelica, a student of San Fernando TML Primary School, was bathing with her family in a designated shallow bathing zone on Wednesday, April 8, when an out-of-control personal watercraft breached the safety area and ploughed directly into them. Her father, Arnold Jogie—who remains in severe physical pain from back and chest injuries sustained while trying to shield his daughter—confirmed that the family is finalizing arrangements to have her body embalmed and transported back home to South Trinidad for final funeral rites.
