Pantrinbago President Beverly Ramsey-Moore shares her thoughts on the passing of the national musical instrument legislation in parliament.

Port of Spain, Trinidad & Tobago – After many years of informal recognition, the steelpan was officially made Trinidad and Tobago’s national instrument last Wednesday, July 3rd. A landmark bill confirming this designation was passed in the House of Representatives.

Mrs. Beverly Ramsey-Moore, President of Pan Trinbago, was present when the bill received parliamentary approval. She later shared her thoughts on this significant milestone during an appearance on the Tobago Updates Morning Show. This legislative action formally cements the steelpan’s central place in the nation’s culture and heritage, recognizing its unique invention and global influence.
