Relief and long-term administrative clarity have arrived for school maxi taxi operators across Tobago, as all outstanding payments owed by the Tobago House of Assembly (THA) and the Public Transport Service Corporation (PTSC) have officially been settled.
The resolution brings an end to months of financial strain and recurring strike threats that had disrupted student commutes. Alongside the clearance of arrears, transport authorities and the Division of Education, Research and Technology have rolled out a comprehensive administrative restructuring plan designed to eliminate bureaucratic bottlenecks and guarantee timely, predictable disbursements for the island’s dedicated school transport service moving forward.
