Minority leader Kelvon Morris speaks about the reopening of the Manta Lodge hotel.
Speyside, Tobago – The newly renovated Manta Lodge Hotel and Dive Centre in Speyside officially reopened on Monday, September 16th. The previous Tobago House of Assembly (THA) administration initially purchased the hotel in 2015.
Chief Secretary Farley Augustine noted that the total refurbishment cost was $29.3 million, which he claimed makes the hotel’s rooms the most expensive in the country. Minority Leader Kelvon Morris also shared his thoughts on the reopening of the hotel, an asset that has been under THA ownership for some time. This project marks a significant development for the Speyside community and Tobago’s hospitality sector.
